Pearson Island Turning up Agamemnon Channel Southern Dawn Prince of Wales Reach
The first of many waterfalls. Snow in the lower elevations. We passed a nice DeFever. Everywhere you turn the mountains are spectacular.
Queens Reach.

Day 2 looks like blue skies and calm seas as we leave Pender Harbor and start up Agamemnon Channel. The deeper we go into the Jervis Inlet fjord system the more inspiring and rugged the scenery becomes. The cloud cover is increasing, too, but the weatherman is promising good things. Prince of Wales Reach, Princess Royal Reach and finally Queens Reach. It's absolutely breathtaking. I wish my pics could do it justice. There's as much exploration here as any intrepid adventurer could want.

Did I memtion we're going to Malibu?

Malibu club and Malibu Rapids mark the entrance to Princess Louisa Inlet. Looking back at Malibu rapids. Malibu Rapids. Princess Louisa Inlet.
Looking back down Princess Louisa Inlet. Almost to Chatterbox Falls. First glimpse of Chatterbox Falls. Chatterbox Falls.
Chatterbox Falls and surrounding cliffs. 'Puget Sound Thunder' was made fast to the dock and this was the view from the deck. Ray checks out the trail map. There is a cool lodge with picnic tables and a big fire pit.
The boardwalks go right into the spray from the falls.

Princess Louisa Inlet and Chatterbox Falls are a highlight that is beyond adequate description. The volume of water changes as the day progresses and the unseen glaciers and snowfields above the cliffs warm up. The cliffs are draped with ribbon falls that jump hundreds of feet from ledge to ledge. The show is mezmerizing. Like Arnold said: "I'll be back".

If ya enjoyed the pics.....more on page 3.
